CROSBY SCORES GAME WINNER IN THE SHOOTOUT AGAINST SWITZERLAND

Yesterday afternoon in Vancouver, Canada was looking for there second win of the tournament with a win against Switzerland and they did but not the way they want. Early on in the game,Canada jumped out to a 2 goal lead with Goals by Heatly (his 3rd) and Marleau (his 1st). But the Swiss weren't ready to give up as they scored 2 straight goals by Ruthemann and von Gunten to tie it at 2 a piece. The game would eventually need a shootout. On the first 3 shots no one scored due to great goaltending by Broudeur of CANADA and Hiller of the Swiss. So we needed tie-breaker shots. Crosby was the first shooter for Canada in Game winning shots and he was the first shooter in tie breaker shots.

"Here comes Crosby he could give Canada the lead. And he does! Canada leads 1-0! This kid is maturing in a hurry. So look out Canada." Those were the words of Pierre McGuire of CTV. With the goal by Crosby it meant Pluss of the Swiss had to score. But he didn't so Canada's record is now 2-0."They really tested us tonight,"Babcock said "We tightened up, they got faster and we didn't execute the way we probably should have. In the end, as a coach you want to win every game and play well every game. But in every championship I've ever been involved with your team has to go through adversity. That's what we had here today. We were able to survive it."
