Earlier tonight in Grand Rapids, the Griffins were playing their second game of the season. Their first game was Friday night against the Milwaukee  Admirials. They lost that game 3-2 and were looking to redeem themselves in Game 2 against the Hamilton Bulldogs. This past game was the Bulldogs first game of the season. Late in the first with 3 minutes to go, Qualier centred the puck to Blake Geoffrion and he deked by one defender and scored falling down on his back hand to make it 1-0 Dogs. 2 minutes later, Bournivals point shot was stopped but Palushaj was there to put home the rebound to make it 2-0 Hamilton.

Early in the second, a point shot was stopped and Palushaj had a open net and McCollum slid across the crease and flashed his glove back and robbed Palushaj of a goal. "Thats the best save you'll ever see!," said the Griffins commentator. Shorltly after that, Ferraro centred the puck to Parkes and he fired a shot through Mayer to cut the lead to 1. Pare would tie the game shortly after that. Then 5 minutes into the third, Dumont in behind the net , threw the puck infront and it went off the goalie and in to give Hamilton another lead.Hoggan would score a Powerplay goal to tie the game. The game went to overtime and then a shootout. Geoffrion and Holland missed the Dogs first 2 shots.

Nyquist and Smith missed the first 2 shots for the Griffins. But Hamiltons third shooter, Bournival came in and went from left to right to left and scored to give Hamilton the lead. Pare missed. Gallagher had a chance to win it and he was stopped. So it was up to Andersson to keep the game alive and he was stopped and the Bulldogs win.The Bulldogs dominated this game by outshooting the Griffins 36 to 20. In the win, Robert Mayer made 17 saves.
